NORTH SHORE BUSINESSES NEED YOUR HELP!
The future of businesses who call Waterfront home is in jeopardy. With industrial vacancy rates at less than 1%, our community-supported vision is to unlock new spaces for industrial businesses to grow and remain here on the North Shore. To realize this, we need the District of North Vancouver to approve our subdivision application for our 27-acre site at 1371 McKeen Avenue, currently home to Lions Gate Marina and other essential North Vancouver businesses.
Here’s why Waterfront is right for the North Shore:
SUPPORTS UP TO 1,185 LOCAL JOBS
over the long term by enabling local business to stay on the North Shore. Learn how Waterfront will benefit our community.
REDUCES TRAFFIC CONGESTION
by working with our neighbours to connect employees to rapid transit. Learn more about our Waterfront Transportation Coalition traffic plan.
ADDRESSES THE SHORTAGE OF INDUSTRIAL LAND
by revitalizing an under-utilized site. Learn more about the limited industrial land supply in Metro Vancouver.
SAVES THE LIONS GATE MARINA
A critical resource for the North Shore’s recreational and commercial boating community. Hear from our current tenants what the marina means to them.
The future of businesses and workers at the Waterfront industrial site in North Vancouver is in jeopardy. Our site is home to Lions Gate Marina as well as storage, landscaping and cement companies. We have extra space and we’re hoping to bring more industrial businesses onto the property to grow the number of local jobs and economic activity.
Our vision for the Waterfront site will unlock new spaces for local businesses to grow on the North Shore, and enable our existing businesses to stay here. We want to make room for new companies who can be part of a vibrant port community focused on trade-enabling business. Our plan also includes important environmental improvements as well as plans for alternative transportation to avoid increased car traffic.
To realize this vision, we need the District of North Vancouver to approve the subdivision of our 27-acre site located at 1371 McKeen Avenue, owned by Wesbild.
Despite the fact that the Waterfront subdivision application is consistent with the existing zoning and has strong support from the community, we have yet to receive a decision from the District.
Please show your support for keeping local businesses on the North Shore and protecting Lions Gate Marina. Tell the District of North Vancouver you support a community-oriented Waterfront that supports local businesses.
